Looking for a service manual for your LG television? The letters at the end of the model number can be just as useful as the main model name.
Suffixes such as -UA, -UB, -ZA and -ZC help distinguish model versions found across different countries and regions. Understanding these codes makes it easier to compare documentation and check which service manual covers your television.
This guide brings together 22 LG TV suffixes, their associated countries and regions, and practical advice for identifying your exact model.
What is an LG TV model suffix?

A model suffix is an additional code attached to the main model designation. For example:
42LB561V-ZC
Main model designation: 42LB561V
Model suffix: -ZC
In this guide, “suffix” refers to these two-letter endings. Your television may also have a longer product or service code after a full stop. Keep that complete code when recording the label; it may help identify the precise version.
Do not confuse the model number with the serial number. The model identifies the television version, while the serial number identifies the individual unit.
Does an LG TV suffix identify one country?

One suffix can be associated with several countries. Equally, more than one suffix can appear in the same country. These codes are useful references to regional model versions, rather than a simple one-code-per-country system.
For example, LG’s Dutch website identifies 42LB561V-ZC, while its Polish website identifies 42LB5610-ZC. Both use -ZC, despite appearing on different national websites. See the LG Netherlands product page and the LG Poland product page.
Does the suffix tell me where the television was manufactured?
Do not use this table to determine the manufacturing country. The associations below concern countries and regions where the model versions have been found in LG product or support information. To identify the manufacturing country of your own television, check its label for a “Made in” statement.
LG TV suffix reference table: countries and regions

The table combines ZeusManuals’ research on LG country websites with additional LG product and model-specific support examples.
How to read this table: the listed countries and regions are examples of where these suffixes have been found. They are not exclusive or exhaustive lists. A suffix alone does not establish service-manual, component or firmware compatibility.
| Suffix | Associated countries and regions |
|---|---|
| -SC | Brazil, Chile, Peru, Venezuela, Costa Rica, Uruguay. |
| -CA | Hong Kong, China. |
| -CC | Hong Kong, China. |
| -CN | China. |
| -CE | China. |
| -DA | Colombia, Panama. |
| -DJ | Colombia, Panama, Taiwan. |
| -JA | Japan. |
| -JB | Japan. |
| -UA | United States, Canada, Philippines, Panama. |
| -UB | United States, Canada, Philippines, Panama, Mexico. |
| -UH | North America. |
| -UE | North America. |
| -UC | United States, Canada, Mexico, Panama. |
| -DC | Colombia, Panama. |
| -SA | Brazil, Chile, Peru, Venezuela, Costa Rica, Uruguay. |
| -SK | Brazil. |
| -TA | Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, South Africa, Israel, Iran, Vietnam, Kenya, United Arab Emirates. Additional research note: non-EU analog versions. |
| -TC | Model-specific LG support examples: United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Iran, Israel, Tunisia, and East Africa (including LG’s Kenya support site). |
| -ZA | Albania, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Morocco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom. |
| -ZB | United Kingdom, Sweden. |
| -ZC | Russia, Germany, Hungary, Netherlands, Poland. |
Regional terms are retained where the research identifies a region rather than individual countries. “Non-EU analog” is a technical research note associated with TA, rather than a country name.
Examples of the additional LG references
LG’s UAE website lists 42LA6200-TA. Model-specific TC support pages include 42LB5610-TC in the United Arab Emirates, Jordan and Iran; 42LN5420-TC in Israel; 47LN5420-TC in Tunisia; and 60LN5420-TC on LG’s East Africa support site.
These references document regional support presence. They should not be read as a complete list of countries where each model was sold.
Why the suffix matters when choosing a service manual

The suffix helps you make a more precise search. However, the deciding factor is the model coverage stated in the service manual.
Why regional versions can have different technical specifications
Televisions intended for different markets may need to work with different electrical supplies, television signals and broadcast audio systems. Regional specifications can therefore matter when choosing documentation, checking reception or comparing replacement parts.
These are differences in operating requirements and technical standards, rather than different measurement units. Voltage is measured in volts (V), frequency in hertz (Hz), and power in watts (W) across these markets. The required values or supported systems may differ.
| Area | What can vary between regional versions? | What should you check? |
|---|---|---|
| Electrical supply | Rated input voltage, mains frequency, power cord and plug. Some televisions accept a wide input range. | The AC input rating on the actual television label and the power-supply specifications in the applicable manual. |
| TV reception | Digital broadcast systems such as DVB, ATSC or ISDB, together with supported terrestrial, cable or satellite services. | The exact model’s tuner specifications and the locally used broadcast system. |
| Broadcast audio | Broadcast sound systems, secondary audio services and supported audio decoding formats. | The audio standards and codecs specified for the exact model and signal source. |
| Older analog signals | PAL, NTSC or SECAM support and the associated analog broadcast sound systems, depending on model and age. | The supported television systems and input formats in the model’s documentation. |
| Connections and components | Regional models may have different connection options or component variants. | The connector specifications, parts list and actual board or part numbers for the television being serviced. |
Electricity: check the rating, not just the country
A regional suffix does not automatically mean that a television has a different power supply. For example, LG’s Canadian LB5600-series specification sheet lists an input range of 100–240 V, 50/60 Hz. A wide input range can accommodate more than one mains supply standard. Always use the rating on your particular television; do not infer it from the suffix or assume that every LG TV accepts the same range.
Mains frequency is also different from screen refresh rate: a 50/60 Hz AC input specification describes the electrical supply, not the panel’s refresh rate.
Audio and reception: compatibility involves more than language
Regional audio differences can concern the way broadcast sound is transmitted or decoded, rather than simply the available menu languages or speaker power. LG’s Canadian LB5600-series sheet, for example, lists MTS/SAP audio functionality. LG’s Italian 42LB561V page lists DVB-T2, DVB-C and DVB-S2 reception and audio formats including Dolby Digital, AAC and PCM. These are model-specific examples, not specifications that can be assigned to every model with a particular suffix.
See the LG Canada LB5600-series specification sheet and LG Italy 42LB561V specifications for these examples.
What this means for repair: two similarly named televisions may differ in their tuner, supported signals, connections or component configuration. Check the exact model, chassis and relevant part numbers in the service documentation. A country association or matching suffix alone does not establish that a manual, replacement board or firmware is compatible.
A manual may cover several models and more than one suffix. Another manual may apply to a specific version. A shared suffix does not prove that two televisions use the same manual, and different suffixes do not automatically require separate manuals.
- Copy the complete model number. Include the suffix and keep any longer product or service code.
- Compare it with the supported models. Check the product description and any available manual cover or model list.
- Check chassis information where provided. Use it alongside the exact model designation.
- Ask about unclear coverage. If your exact version is not listed, confirm whether it is covered before purchasing.
For example, if your television is labelled 42LB561V-ZC, start your search with that complete designation. Do not assume that documentation for a similarly named model includes your version.
Before you choose: match the television’s full model number to the models explicitly covered by the manual. Use the suffix table to understand regional associations, then check the actual document coverage.
Where to find your LG TV’s complete model number

Check the identification label
Look for the identification label on the back of the television. Photograph the whole label so you retain the model, suffix and any additional product code. LG’s model and serial number guide provides identification guidance.
Check the television’s information menu
Model information may also be available through the TV’s settings or support menu. The route depends on the model and software version. Look for an information screen such as TV Information or Product/Service Info.
If the menu shows a shortened model name, use the physical label to capture the complete designation. Keep the punctuation and letters exactly as shown.
Frequently asked questions about LG TV suffixes

What do -UA, -UB and -UC mean on an LG TV?
They identify model versions found across the countries listed in the reference table. Each can occur in several markets, so the suffix should be used together with the complete model number.
Are -ZA, -ZB and -ZC only used in one European country?
No. The table shows several countries associated with these suffixes. ZA also appears in the research for markets outside the European Union. Neither your country nor the suffix alone identifies the exact documentation you need.
Can I use a manual with a different suffix?
Only rely on it when the manual’s stated coverage includes your version or that coverage has been confirmed. Some manuals cover several suffixes; check the supported models.
Can I choose replacement parts using the suffix alone?
The suffix alone is insufficient to establish a part match. Check the complete television identification and the relevant part numbers in the applicable service documentation.
Does a shared firmware list prove that the same manual applies?
A firmware compatibility list and a service manual’s model list serve different purposes. Check the manual’s own coverage rather than treating a shared download as confirmation.
What if my country or suffix is not listed?
This reference includes all 22 suffixes in ZeusManuals’ source research, with additional examples. It does not claim to catalogue every LG suffix or every country in which a version has appeared. Continue with your full model number and the manual’s supported-model list.
